I started with this sketch... Well, I started by placing a comfy
cushion on the floor, and chasing Flippy away so Lola could pose.
She fell asleep right away like a good little doggy model.
She did shift her position slightly from the sketch, I liked
this one better, so I drew from her and not the sketch.

The cushion is purple, but I changed the color to match
her eyes even though they're closed.
Dogs change position alot, so you have to work fast.
Here's the finished painting.
I wish she'd hold this pose for three or four hours straight.
She did let me get a photo.
This pose shows off her beauty spot nicely.
