Mosaic Table

The base was trash-picked from next door. I wire-brushed it and painted it with gloss white rustoleum. Jeffo cut a piece of plywood for the top, then cut a thicker piece of plywood for the top. I painted that white, both sides, I used gesso because I have gallons of that around the house. Then I cut stained glass shards into smaller pieces, glued them down, grouted with "charcoal" colored grout. All that's left is sealing the grout.

Making a Plant Hanger with Ivan the Blacksmith on Fallsington Day

First, Ivan shows me how it's done.

Heating the iron rod, Ivan gets the coal hotter

Beginning the curve on the anvil's horn

Hammering the curve

Heating the tip

Curling the end with pliers

Ivan helping me put it in the vise

Adding the twist

My hook left, Ivan's beautiful hook right. Thanks, Ivan (Raupp of Magic Metals Blacksmithing) for teaching me how to do that!
